Cannot have him all

I stopped at a petrol station to have my motorbike filled up. Behind me in the queue was a couple who looked like husband and wife. They must have been in their early or mid-thirties. The husband was tall and big in his shorts and football shirt; the wife was thin, small and unattractive in her old pajamas.  As we were waiting for our turns in the long queue outside the crowded station, we saw a young long-legged girl in scanty clothes standing nearby. The husband could not help looking the girl up and down, nor could the wife. That was a beautiful girl in her early twenties, and her miniskirt made her even sexier and more inviting. The husband did not look happy. The wife didn't, either.  I wonder what the man thought in that situation seeing his wife as a complete contrast to another woman.

Some say appearance is not important, but in fact men could not take their eyes off beautiful women. Unluckily, not all men can reach beautiful women; therefore, many of them have to get married to average-looking girls who turn below-average when they get older. And as they are busy with babies and all sort of housework, married women  appear shabby, and unkempt. Husbands come back home after having had enough at work only to find struggling women who look and act like their mothers, which make them feel even more disappointed. They keep asking themselves why their wives cannot  be as beautiful and proud as other women, why their wives cannot take time to take care of their appearance, why their wives are no longer as charming as they were before marriage. However, they just ignore the fact that their wives only  have two hands and 24 hours to fulfill their roles as a wife, a mother and a money-maker. Who doesn't want to have carefree romantic nights out?  Who doesn't want to look beautiful and outstanding? But there are times they have to make a choice. And those women choose their babies over their beauty, their family over their career.  Their husbands, instead of loving them even more and being sympathetic to  the huge workload their wives are coping with, just take it for granted and do not lift a finger to help. They just  lie lazily on the couch facebooking, watching beautiful girls  and feeling sorry for themselves.

Women think marriage is a strong tie between them and their husband, and  babies create an unbreakable bond. But it’s not true for all men. Some never feel satisfied and want to have it all: a housekeeper-baby-sitter, a lover and a soul mate. If their wives are busy housekeeping or  baby-sitting, they will go  find their  lovers and soul mates, even some beautiful passers-by. After all, women suffer more as they can never have their man completely despite their wholehearted devotion to him.
